Camden Hills was written to accompany James' text "By faith have God's saints", which was entered in a competition for the Presbyterian church in Warren, Pennsylvania. James' text won, and our friend Alfred Fedak wrote the winning tune which eventually accompanied it. However, this is what I came up with to set the text. Camden Hills is the name of campgrounds in Maine where we took our new son Christopher for our first family vacation in August of 1991.
