In 1994 the Grahamsville Reformed Church, of which James and I were pastors, observed its hundred and fiftieth anniversary.  The congregation formed a group to plan gatherings through the year, open to the community, to celebrate the event.  Even the Post Office got into the act, making our education building a temporary outlet with an official cancellation using our logo for the occasion!  I like to think that another contribution to the cause was this tune, Eureka.  Not only does it mimic Archimedes' famous "I have found it!", in this case referring to the new life of Christ, but it was also the name of a neighboring town, now submerged in the New York City reservoir system, from which the Grahamsville church drew many of its members.
