After years of study and search, a friend whom I met through Julie in Massachusetts finally received Holy Orders and became a transitional deacon in the spring of 2008. It happened that one of the choices James gave me for the Christmas greeting that year had much to do with the divine choice of the feminine through which to work here among us. With Carol in mind, we decided to dedicate this year's work to her ministry and to name the tune after her.
