In the summer of 1991 an eighteen month old boy joined our household. Intending to adopt him, we child-proofed our house, did all the new-parent preparations of getting furniture, toys, and clothes for him, and made arrangements to have him baptized. Our friend and James' classmate Renée House did the baptism at the Reformed Church of South River, New Jersey, where James was pastor at the time. We sang this tune to the text James wrote in celebration of the day our son 'Toph, baptized Christopher John, became a member of God's family.
