If you are coming from the North or South:

From the NYS Thruway, take exit 21 B for Coxsackie/Ravena.  Turn left at the light onto Route 9W South.  Follow 9W past Red's Restaurant on your right, and soon there will be an intersection of Routes 81 and 385 at the traffic light.  Turn left onto Route 385 at this light. 

Follow 385 into Athens.  It becomes Washington Street.  At the Stewarts' Shop, turn onto Market Street to go up the hill.  At the crest there will be, on the left, evidence of a cemetery.  This is Church Street, so turn left here.  The church is on the right, directly after the entrance to the cemetery.

If you are coming from the West:

Take Route 81 to the intersection of Routes 9W, 81, and 385.  Follow directions from the second paragraph above.

If you are coming from the East:

Travel Route 9/23 to signs directing you to the Rip Van Winkle Bridge.  Cross the Hudson on the bridge, and take the first right turn onto Route 385 North.  Follow directions from the second paragraph above.
